Magrathea

From late June to early September 2021, I was one of four artists selected from an international call to participate in the Merriweather District Artist-In-Residence (MDAIR) program in Columbia, Maryland. In collaboration with the Howard County Arts Council and with support from the Howard Hughes Corporation, MDAIR brings together a diverse range of multimedia disciplines. This video below synopsizes the process and conceptual underpinnings of my large-scale woven work, "Magrathea”, a circular, rotating installation featuring two large caned wheels at opposing ends of a 20' arm.
